The Flint Street Nativity Play 29/09/15

In todays lesson we found out what roles we had for The Flint Street Nativity. This is the cast list of everyones roles:

After we got are roles we watched the first part of the film to see how they acted as are characters and how we thought we would do it. After we watched some of the film we also read though the first scene of the play in are roles to see how they acted. I think we did this well and I am exited to get it up an running with the play.

The Flint Street Nativity Play 25/09/15

In todays lesson we were given a scene from act 2 of the flint street nativity. We staring by reading it out to see what we had to do in this scene. We took the roles as the parents to the children who we had in the first scene we did from it. I played the role of Innkeepers Dad these were not the roles that we were going to have when we did the real thing.

Once we read it though we got up and tried to act it out we had to keep moving around like getting food and looking at some of the kids work in the classroom. The only thing I need to improve on this to make sure I read the stage directions so we know where to go and to make sure I read the right lines and at know when I need to come in. But overall I think we played it well for the first time doing it.

Improvisation of Children Nativity 24/09/15

Todays lesson we were split into group and had to improise piece as 7 year olds ready to do the nativity we could do the navitvity or we could do before the nativity. Our group decided to do the auditions for the nativity so we were all auditions for the same role except me I was auditioning for a camel. In between them we would talk about random things like meeting the queen. I think we played this well we just need to remember that we are 7 year olds so we don't go into a younger age like 3 year olds.

The Flint Street Nativity Play 18/09/15

Today we were given the play of 'The Flint Street Nativity' which we are going to perform later in the year, we were given the beginning scene from it and we read though it to see what we were doing. We all had to play 7 year old children that were in a classroom who are about to perform the nativity to their parents. After we went though it we got up and tried to act it out we got up too the first song. I think we all played it well for the first time, I just to make sure that I am playing a 7 year old correctly and making it look realistic.

Monologues 17/09/15

Today we performed are monologues to the class and we got feedback from the class and would do it again but in a different way.

I picked my monologue from Hannah Montana when she reveals that she was Hannah the whole time I showed this by sitting down and looking at them all to tell them the story. Then the class told me to change it to pretend that I was talking to my family to tell them that I was a girl. I think this went really well that I told them very serious and kept in my charcter the only thing I need to improve is to remember it without looking at the lines.

This is the monologue that I performed:
"I wrote this song about 11 year old girl who wanted to be a rockstar but she wanted a normal life so she pretended to be someone else it was good for a little while but she's 17 now and life is even more complicated and she just doesn't wanna pretend anymore her name is Miley Stewart"

Script Work 15/09/15

We were working more on are scripts today at the beginning of the lesson we performed are script because we did not do it last time.

We then workshopped them and I changed my character to be happy when he was talking about doing horrible things, I think I played this well because I had to just act happy and enjoy what I was doing the only thing I need to improve on is looking  at the stage directions to check I am doing the right thing at the right time.

Script Work 11/09/15

In today's lesson we did script work. We were given scripts and we got put in groups to work on them together. Are script was Ten Tiny Fingers, Nine Tiny Toes.

I think we did this well, I played the part of Orderly which I had to play in a horrible, mean way who someone who did not care about people. I only thing I would like to improve on is trying to remember it without using a script. 

'I don't like Mondays' 8/09/15 and 10/09/15

In today's lesson we had to create a devised piece. We were given pictures to see what type of devised piece we were doing and given a song. From looking at the pictures it was the shooting from the school where someone shot some of the children in the school.

We decided to do in a school classroom and then have a physical
theatre piece at the end. I think overall we played this very well. We did the story of the girl who killed people in the primary school because she could see a school playground out of her window. I played one of the children in the school and at the end with the physical theatre piece we showed how they died and we decided to do this by covering them with a sheet.
