Chasing Pavements Devised Piece 26/02/16

Today we finished off the behind the scenes for the game show and got up and acted it out we wanted to make the audience feel uncombable. We wanted to make sure when we write this that Kat and Rob know that they have done something wrong to show that we are mad at them and that they have messed the game show up.

We want to make the audience think and have different feeling for every scene when we staged this we decided to go straight into after the game show and not move around lots so it creates a cold atmosphere. We are going to run the whole game show for next lesson and film it to see what it looks like as the audience and this will give us an idea of targets we want to improve on to make the game show look more effective.

Chasing Pavements Devised Piece 25/02/16

Todays lessons we looked at our movement for the sound scape to make sure it was finished and looked the best it could. We also began writing our behind the scenes for the game show. We then decided to start off making a rehearsal schedule so we have a set plan of what we have to do for each lesson and it keeps us up to date what we have done and what we have to finish off.

The movement piece for the sound scape looks great we decided to film it to see what it looked like as the audience looking at the clip we all need to make sure we are acting throughout for example when Rob and I are making sure when the recording says breath in and out that we are making big movements because we are not moving as much as the others. This shows the sounds of the abortion clinic it is a different way of showing the abortion it also shows that its not one person who is being effected by it and that it is her choice in the end so she decides she wants to get rid of it.

Chasing Pavements Devised Piece 23/02/16

Todays lesson we wanted to run through all the scenes we had so far. We began running the movement section and then into the scene where we talk as the best friends. Then we ran the whole game show section blocking it so we knew where we had to go for each section and we can think about spacing. We also wanted to look at the body language because all of our characters going to be different so we understand all our roles.

We decided to record our soundscape that we created but we had to think about what noises we were all going to say we were thinking of noises that you would hear at an abortion clinic we came up with having a heart beat, a heart monitor that makes the beep noise, breathing and me saying breath in and out we created all these noises we wanted to put a movement piece to go with the sound scape. We are going to finish the movement piece next lesson. I think I need to make sure I understand my character more so I know how I am going to walk and talk.

Chasing Pavements Devised Piece 11/02/16

Today we had a chat about are game show scene we wanted to make sure we had a scene before and after the real game show so we want to have a behind the scenes of the game show so people will understand that we are horrible characters behind the scenes and we are nice people in front of all the cameras.

Here is what we created today we behind the scenes of the game show this is going to be a scene before the game show of us telling them to make sure they do what we said out there and that they will not mess this up because we want our game show to get lots of views so we want it to be crazy. We went through this a couple a times so we knew what we were all saying and then we did this scene again running into the real game show so we understood what order we were showing it in. I think I need to work on my movement for these scenes so people can understand that I am horrible from my actions and from the way I am talking to them I think we need to make sure we run the whole game show again so we can discover how we are going to move around and think about places we are going to be standing in.

Character Profile for "Keep or no keep" as the Terminator

Name: Terminator
This character is horrible and does not care about peoples feelings they are going to be rude and creepy when they are talking towards the characters on the game show when they are talking about getting an abortion he is going to persuade them to get abortion so they can live there live.

























Lorna and I were chatting in this lessons about how we wanted our characters to be shown to the audience and we were thinking of the behind the scenes that we wanted to create. My character is against abortion and wants the couple to get rid of their baby so he explains what it will be like not to have a baby which is horrible because Rob wants to keep the baby but Kat wants to have the baby so it is messing with their minds and they might be unsure what to do.

Chasing Pavements Devised Piece 05/02/16

I was ill for this week so I missed two lesson but today I was back so we got the whole scene on its feet and they told me what they got up to when I was ill. We started of running though the script to think of how we wanted are characters to sound and act. We came up with an exercise of swapping roles of characters to see what it was like if we all played them and the difference of how we would all act them so everyone could get an idea of how we see their characters. For the scene Lorna and I are going to be over the top when we are talking to camera and when we are behind the scenes we are going to be horrible to Kat and Rob because we think they have not done the job right out there. We want them to play up for the game show but they don't do it right and end up having an argument on the show then we are going to create a scene after to show use telling them that they have done it wrong like the behind the scenes of the show.
